What techniques do you use? As the foredeck guy on my friend's boat, I have employed 2 techniques. The first, which I'm not sure will work on a C-25 due to the length of the pole with the genoa, is the broomstick method. I stand on front of the mast, unhook it and go straight up in the air while sweeping the other end with the sail's clew across the deck and out the other side and pushing out, then reconnect the pole to the mast. The second method is to stand on the windward side, unhook the pole and slide it straight back along the boom until the sail end clears the forestay, push it to the other side and forward until I can rehook the pole on the mast. Then using the pole, I push out the sail. After that, if needed in very light air, I'll help bring to boom over.

My foredeck guy uses the second method and is very fast with it.
