Close friends of mine will be in San Diego the first week of October with no schedule. They aren't members, don't even own a boat (well, two kayaks), but Jenny grew up sailing with her dad on their O'day 23 on Lake Erie. Tom, her husband, and I took a 3 - 4 day cruise with her dad every September for years, and I couldn't measure the distance or time that her dad and I spent aboard before he passed away some years ago. Anyway, would anyone in San Diego be interested in taking them out for a sail if the weather cooperates?

October is a looong way off for me to know my schedule for that week. I'll know more about it in late July after I've registered for Fall Semester. I'm sure most of the other SD guys are in the situation.
Once I know which days I'm off for sure, I can work out some time to get on the water.
Thanks, I was putting out a feeler and realize that that is to far ahead to plan. I was just checking to see if it might be possible. I lived in San Diego (Bird Rock) long enough to know that SD's nearly perfect weather can be less than optimal in October too. I'll post again in August to try to get a firm response and a contact for Tom and Jenny.
Mike, my friends are leaving for San Diego on saturday and will be there for a week. If you, or any other takers, are available to offer a couple of hours around the bay if the weather cooperates they could contact you when they get there to schedule something during the week.
