Hey all. I am going to a roller furler and looking to sell a very racy 155 genoa made by Bartlett in Austin, TX. The sail is very nice and in good condition (still relatively crispy). It has a window at the bottom and a window for the tell tails. It is for a Tall rig and is a deck sweeper hank on. The foot is 20 or so feet. Does anyone have any idea what this might be worth? Also, I have an older full batten main for sail. Opinions on what I should ask are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay you for it. I might be interested in the mainsail. I have a very old mainsail. I paid $40 for and it is getting more and more sail tape on it. :)
On the main... is it in good enough condition to get it altered? I have a tall rig but the boom has been moved up(1 foot) to allow a bimini with more headroom. I am looking for a usable mainsail I can have cut down to use when the bimini is on.
thanks. It is a very fast sail. I love it but unfortunately, I need to go to a furler to keep the admiral happy. I just cannot bring myself to cut it down and add UV protection. It will make someone very happy. If I could get $450 for it I would be stoked. The dilemma is spend 400 to 500 to have it cut down or sell it and apply that to a new sail.
Kent, do you ever make it up to Dallas? If you do, I'd be happy to let you look at it. It is an older sail but has plenty of life left in it. The full battens were added to it and I recently had it looked over by a local loft.

I'm getting ready to install my roller furler and might be replacing all my sails later this year. If you can wait till this fall maybe we could work out a deal on my old main. It's a standard rig and you wouldn't have to have it modified. It's baggy but is still very servicable.
That would work. I had considered getting an old SR main... I plan on getting a good racing sail next year but for just knockin about the bay, I want the bimini on so I need a shorter sail. BTW.. do you have a 135 jib? I race in the GBCA club handicap and when the wind blows too much for my 155 I know I am comming in DFL with the 110 up.
Have you tried to reef the main when flying the 155 on windy days? I've only reefed my main once but it made a big difference in the way the boat handled.
This might not work for racing but you might try to sail on just the 155. When it's really blowing I'm capable of hitting hull speed with just the 150.
When do you guys have your races? If you ever need crew let me know.
Hey guys, sorry for the delay... change of plans. I am selling the boat and will have to sell the sails with it. I am very sorry to be a tease. BTW, I ALWAYS fold my sails properly!
And I can attest, the boat does very well under the 155 only. The main just makes it heal more, it seems. If I am taking out new folks, I leave the cover on the main. The only problem with the 155 is that it is a beast to tack... especially the deck sweeper I have.
