Used it several times and works great so far. It seals up nicely and the carry/disposal tank works like a charm. I've always wanted a marine head, but the Dometic works so good and is so easy that I don't think I'll ever install a marine head. WM always has parts in stock too. Something to think about when buying a cheap unit.
I just remembered that I don't believe anyone has gone #2 in it. So I can't comment on the ability of a #2 evacuating the tube or entering the compartment. Sorry for the mental image.
That's one of the reasons I bought the Fiamma, giant, easy to use dump & fill ports. Easy to clean, no extra parts, only screw on gasketed lids for both flush & flushed portions.
I'll spare you the details, but cleaning out our old Thetford after a an amazingly large amount of um...discharge from two little girls (4 & 6, how they ever got that much inside them is a wonder) a while back convinced me that a 2" discharge is not the way to go.

Eh, too late now. My old one didn't have a pipe so I don't know if I'll even use that feature. I ordered it off of Amazon, love being a prime member and getting free shipping. I also find cheap pirate flags for $6 a piece.
As an aside, #2 is not allowed, ever. I can always sail you to a real bathroom if it's that bad.
I didn't see any hold down clamps in the add. I also went with the Fiamma Bi-Pot and haven't had any problems with it(3yrs). It to doesn't have hold down clamps but I never trusted them after my old one let loose one day and the whole thing tumbled out onto the floor. Nasty to say the least. Now I have a teak bar in front to keep the Bi-Pot in place and some brackets I made on the floor for the side to side stability. I would have to turtle the boat for it to tumble out now.
Peter, Hate to say it but #2 HAPPENS!! I know because it happened last year about 1/2 hour out from our destination for the night. Glad we had the porto potty. But, I must give credit where its doo - they who dun it took care of it.

Had a really bad experience with our dometic pp. After 1year we replaced it with the thetford. The dometic leaked from the level indicator and the O rings on the vent failed. In short we had carp in places that should be clean. Thetford has the better product!
A similar thread came up not too long ago. Makes me glad I have a marine head, holding tank and pump-out deck fitting. It goes like this, pull up to dock, hand dock boy 10 bucks, poopy goes away...

My previous neighborhood had none. Now I have several including a pump-out boat that comes to me. It all depends...
Our porta-potti has hold-down clamps on the side, and large gasketed screw caps on both tanks for filling/emptying. It's never come loose, and I've never had a problem emptying it.
