Henk, great article in Mainsheet! I have a question. The front page photo appears to be taken from your boat and the boat in front of you looks like a C250, I assume the Sea Bear. But the spreaders appear to be tubular, the boots are different and the spreaders are not swept back. What boat is that? Do the WBs have different spreaders??
We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust our sails.
Peter & Angela left last Monday on Sea Bear for a race around Salt Spring island, BC and is not expected to be home for a week or so... He'll be able to fill you in regarding all Sea Bear's rigging details.
During the Pocket Cruiser Convention in Lake Havasu, AR. we had fun, learned lots, met people from all over, raced together with Peter and finished above expectations, sculled the boat on a wind-less race day, toured the area, enjoyed mid winter "summer weather" did a lot of bike riding and after looking at many types of pocket cruisers still like our C250 sail boat.
The Mainsheet front cover was indeed taken from Someday Lady with Peter and Angela on Sea Bear just ahead of us. We had the outboard in reverse to hold us from overtaking boats ahead. Guests Earl and Susan Hall from Vancouver were also on board. They are well known and active participants of the Trailer Sailer web site and now in the market for a bigger boat. Maybe even a 25 footer
