I raced my Laser at a District Championship out of one of the lakeshore yacht clubs. I remember needing to wash the hull with dish washing soap which kept the oil and other petroleum products away from the hull while we sailed out of the harbor. Must have been 30 years ago!

Ever since the zebra mussels, there has been no need for that, just a good spray with the hose and everything is clean

Most likely though it was a bottle of beer poured into a cup. We found a new dilemma this past season: Its hard not to allow bottles on board when the bottles are FOC.
