We have a marine head with holding tank and sanitation pump. Holding tank and sanitation pump are located under the port settee. I will call this the holding tank compartment. This compartment appears to be isolated from the rest of the hull. When we bought the boat in September, all bilge areas were spotless and dry.
As prep for winter, after pumping out the tank, I put a few gallons of red antifreeze into the toilet and pumped it into the holding tank. After the boat was launched last week, we noticed the following
a) 12-16 oz. Red liquid in the bottom of the holding tank compartment b) Traces of red liquid on caulk which is on the forward side of the little bulkhead in the holding tank compartment. This bulkhead is 1/2 inch or so forward of the holding tank. The damp caulk is about 4-6 inches above the sole of the holding tank compartment. c) another 8-12 oz. of slimy red liquid in the keel bilge. If I have a holding tank or hose leak, I cannot figure out why there is also liquid in the keel bilge.
Any thoughts of where in the system to look first?

I'm no head expert, but I'd look at all the hose connections and fittings, from the head to the pump out. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a hose clamp that is leaking, or maybe a crack or split in one of the hoses. Liquid leaks can find their way into the bilge from anywhere in the boat.
I'd say the bottom of one of your hoses is cracked. I replaced the hoses and head on mine and that was what I had. Not easy to find upon inspection, as the hoses don't move and it was the very bottom of a low point.
Not good putting anitfreeze anywhere, give me your address and I'll send you some liquid Fluorescein and you can blue light it and track it.
