This may be a strange one but here goes. When sailing the lakes around my house I purchased a 130 jib for my 25. Now that I am sailing the SF Bay I find the 130 a little much with the wife and friends aboard. I happen to have a Hobie 16 jib. Any thoughts on using it on my catalina standard rig.
And if I remember correctly from my old Hobie days, that's one dam small jib! Not to mention it is probably not cut correctly for the sheet leads. I would think you'd be better off with a 90 or 100% jib intended for a 25.
If you know anyone with a C-22, ask if you can borrow thier working jib and try that. A C-25/250/Capri 25 storm jib measures: Luff 14', leech 10.5', foot 6.9' A C-22 storm jib measures: Luff 12', leech 9', foot 6' A C-22 working jib measures: Luff 22.8', leech 20', foot 10.75', $325 from thesailwarehouse.com, compare this one to your 130 and I bet you will find a significant reduction
