After much thought I've decided to part with my beloved Capri 25.
She is presently in the water on Long Lake in Maine but will be moved to NH. I have her set up to race and cruise, but some of the crusing stuff may maker her not that competitive at the top end of the group. I do just fine in my phrf group typically 2nd or 3rd. I think I bought the boat right 3 years ago and want to come out of it close to whole. I figure I've got a bit over $11,000 into her.
Here's the equipment etc. - Roller Furler - 110 jib cut to fit the foller - 140% mylar in good shape - 155% dacron/mylar blend in good shape - dacron/mylar main with bolt rope for the mast, shelf footed in good shape - dacron main with slugs for the mast in excellent shape - new main sail cover - spinnaker with all related gear for it - spinnaker turtle for easy dousing (this works really well with green crew) - Boom Kicker - boom vang - 4 HP Mercury 2 years old - All running rigging replace 2009 - All teak taken off the boat 2010 and redone (looks great) - Anchor, dock lines, fenders etc. - Interior in good shape, floor revarnished 2 years ago - hull imronned 4 years ago (pretty nice shape) - Trailer - 2 10 foot tongue extenders for the trailer - A-frame for raising and lowering the mast with winch on trailer - Bottom cleaned and painted 2010

LeeBitts 1981 Capri 25 Hull # 142 Sailing in NH and Maine
We are moving to New Hampshire and I would love to talk with you about where you sail. I have a Capri 25 that is currently trapped in Texas while we search for a trailer.

Hi Gary, yeah we sail out of the Austin Yacht Club. Not much going on in July and August out there except for the beer can races, and moving docks to chase the rapidly shrinking lake. Regards, John
I thought so. I keep up with your club via the monthly newsletter. If I lived closer I'd love to join but I have a hard enough time getting to my boat 45 minutes away.
If you're serious about the Friday night races I might be interested if I can get a vacation kitchen pass. I'd have to let you know after we get up to Travis on Thursday afternoon. No big deal if you have a full crew.
Would it be a big deal if I came to the club and watched from shore?
BTW... are they ever going to fix/replace the webcam? It was a nice way for us coastal people to see the lake and keep up with the comings and goings at your club.
