Couple more pics from the Kemah trip. We went down there to re-rig a Ranger 29 and practice for the harvest Moon Regatta, which is a 150 mile race from Galveston to Corpus Christie. It's been forever since I have sailed offshore so I am really looking forward to it.
First day we sailed through a storm. it was ridiculous...check out my frog tog foulies. Totally awesome active wear rain gear you can get for less than $45. They did the job and breathe real well too. The shoes I'm wearing are less than an hour old and already soaked through.
Incredible pics Peter! I've only had my C-25 for about 6 weeks so I just have a few shots...will post up when I get back in town. Oh, and now that I see there's a Flying Saucer I'm expecting an invite to crew up north!

Peter, Can you go into more detail re not being able to figure how to post photos. Have you gone to this link https://www.catalina-capri-25s.net/cgi-local/MBR_system.cgi?Login_ck. Once there, just log on and see if it helps. Steve Auerbach, Treasurer

Thank you, there was a problem with my login that Russ has since helped me fix.
The website has been updated and there is a new feature where you can post your own pictures to the Photo Gallery.

Thanks Russ for that post. Members can also go to "Instructions" under My Account on the left side of the Members Menu once they log on. Steve Auerbach, Treasurer
Purely out of curiosity, was that picture of the boat on the trailer taken on Hwy 290 just before you come into Hempstead? The trees on the right look familiar.
Tried my spinnaker for the first time and single handed. It was fun but the wind was fine and steady. What a boost :-) The second photo bellow is taken a few minutes later as I passed my brother's boat.
and here is the photo to see how narrow our river is
Sailed in a regatta this weekend on S-Cape, an Evelyn 32. We got 4 bullets, first place on every race. There was carnage on the race course on Sunday with sustained wind in excess of 20 to 25 knots and gusts to 40.
Our boat at first...
After the last race, we ended up shredding the main sail, still clocked 10.7 knots downwind surfing under storm jib and destroyed main..I am in the black.
But we did have better luck than these guys on their VX1
or this guy...
All the money went to charity, probably the most extreme sailing I've ever done. The IC24 fleet was sent back in so it was PHRF, Melges and the Sportboat classes racing.
Wow, just found this. This is the fire that almost took out my boat last year.
In the foreground with the superman logo is the boat I just raced on. he made it without any damage. My boat was in the smoke on the far side of the dock from this shot.
My other buddy's boat, August Blaze, wasn't so lucky. Unfortunate name for the boat, considering it's demise. The power boat that blew up had no insurance.
