Goes against all I considered sane. But I had a chalky Shakespeare and checked their website FAQ to learn it's ok. As directed: washed, 320grit, and thinned/brushed white Brightside polyurethane. It looks almost Galaxy-Series new (almost, because the Galaxy does not have the spiral ribs on the shaft).

Molly Brown: 1967 Grand Banks 32-#34. Bronze, mahogany, teak, oak, with 120hp diesel to push all 10 tons. Currently an abuser of the bilge pump. Also... The Tall Rig Spirit: 1978, #973, Cast Fe Fin Keel on a Trailer

Thanks.. I need to do mine. I've got what looks like fiberglass fibers on the outside .. kinda creeps me out. Keep thinking I'll slide my hand across it.

I'm thinking that since radio waves penetrate brick walls, a little paint isn't gonna stop much. Cosmetically, it'll look like paint on plastic as time passes. Probably a good application for the brands designed to paint plastic.
