The weather has been brutal down here in Virginia with temps some days flirting with 100F and high humidity. But today it was around 90F with lower humidity and temps are to start cooling off into the 80s for the next few days. So...we will send cooler weather to you very soon !
Shucks Tomas, you can have it all! We just had our 35th day of 100+...No rain, exceptional drought, lawns dead because of watering restrictions. We're heading for the mountains of California next week.
When we lived in Plano (25 years ago) we had to water our foundation or the ground would shift and cause our foundation to crack. How do the water restrictions affect that kind of stuff?

Usually has mild winters - but man, can it get uncomfortable in the summer!
Tucson in the winter and the mountains of southern Colorado in the summer - and no lawns to mow!
Last year we vacationed in southern Colarado and thoroughly enjoyed the climate and scenery. We visited in following order: Ouray, Durango, Mesa Verde Natl Park and Telluride. But as I understand it, things were not all that rosy in southern Colorado. The reason the Pueblo Indian cave dwellings are still intact at Mesa Verde is because the indians just got up and left for greener pastures. I guess they had one too many droughts to contend with back in those day.

Looks like Joe got some welcome relief today with some early morning thunderstorms.
Oh yeah! It was only in the mid 80's today, cloudy most of the time. The rain came in really early so I slept through it. I went out riding last night and by the time I rolled in at 3:00 the rain was at my back chasing me in. Got a little drizzle and some drops, but felt good in the night air. The great part was the smell! I could smell the rain all night out riding...I love that summer rain smell.
We needed the break, so I'm glad I took this Swap Meet ad out....thanks to whoever came and got the dang heat wave, we needed it.....next week it's right back to the 100+ temps and sun though....but it's mid August so Fall is coming....few more weeks and we should drop down to the 90's.
