After years of cheap battery chargers destroying my batteries, I decided to plunk some coin on the Xantrex Truecharge2 20 amp battery charger with remote. The cool thing is that it is utterly flexible in how you program it - set to AGM versus Flooded, gelcell, etc. It also has a temperature probe you connect to the battery post and it adjusts itself in accordance with battery temperature.
FYI, the pro-mariner that I pulled out doesn't even use tinned copper wire for the A/C section. Hope this solves my battery woes, but how many of have said that for decades?
