We held our Invitational Master's Regatta yesterday and how pinful it was. Most of the day had drifter conditions although we did have nice wind between the races (of course as son as the sequence started it dropped to a drifter again). Our main competition was a J-105 and a Colgate 26 (with new kevlar sails). In the 1st race we managed to correct out over the J by a couple of minutes. In race 2 I made the mistake of letting a windline lure me into splitting tacks with the J - bad move as it immediately went to a flat calm and the J continued to move. He won by over 6 minutes so we tied for the Regatta with the Colgate 3rd. And it was hot, hot, hot!
