Well its been a long time, almost 3 years now. Our boat is finished and we went sailing for a good 5 hours a couple of weeks ago. Just thought I would share.

I have photos on my blog site, nothing DYI but photos of the boat. Here is the short list of what was done.
Purchased in October 2009 Removed and cleaned everything interior removed chushions to be replaced Removed interior teak and Holly Flooring Hualed out in March 2010 Cleaned interior builge area / subfloor replaced plumbing and electrical in floor replaced electric builge pump and hose/ shower sump X2 Replace manual builge pump and hose Replaced teak and holly flooring interior (3 sheets 4x8) Replaced trim Sanded and sealed with 6 coats epoxy Poly topcoat 6 layers Cleaned galley / fixed gas stove Bottom Job May 2010 - 4 coats Splashed back into Lake on July 2010 Rewired Electronics Cleaned the interior again fixed portlights from leaking Installed 16,500 btu Heat and centeral air replaced all AC breakers and panel fixed several interior DC lights Spent 4 nights on boat with family campout changed oil and layed up for winter 2010 Repaired and cleaned main and jib sails ordered new running rigging March 2011- spring cleaning - powerwashed boat and waxed hull replaced running rigging re-installed sails and checked / taped standing rigging boat was ready to go on July 4th Lake had Green Algee / toxic and stayed in town July / August record temps of 105+++ every day....
So the first of October we got to take her out for the first time. The mainsail is huge and the jib is on a furler, it was quite different from my normal racing mode, as you can see from the photo I only needed one glove and that was for the Modelo...Quite Happy.

That is sooooo Kewl..lol - I found out that one of your crew had my dads old boat....and she is gone now. so sad.
Anyway, I hope all is well with the Capri 25, we had a good time on her and she served us very well, got some silverware too. The boat is fast and I loved the sails on her..EP main is so fat.
Spring will be a good time for us on Grand - Looking forward to every second we can spend up on the lake.
