Well its been a long time, almost 3 years now. Our boat is finished and we went sailing for a good 5 hours a couple of weeks ago. Just thought I would share.

Looking good! Grand Lake is lovely in the Fall.

Volare is on the hard getting a new bottom and templating the keel. We are having a blast with her. Took 1st place in the Spring series.

Removed interior teak and Holly Flooring
Hualed out in March 2010
Cleaned interior builge area / subfloor
replaced plumbing and electrical in floor
replaced electric builge pump and hose/ shower sump X2
Replace manual builge pump and hose
Replaced teak and holly flooring interior (3 sheets 4x8)
Replaced trim
Sanded and sealed with 6 coats epoxy
Poly topcoat 6 layers
Cleaned galley / fixed gas stove
Bottom Job May 2010 - 4 coats
Splashed back into Lake on July 2010
Rewired Electronics
Cleaned the interior again
fixed portlights from leaking
Installed 16,500 btu Heat and centeral air
replaced all AC breakers and panel
fixed several interior DC lights
Spent 4 nights on boat with family campout
changed oil and layed up for winter 2010
Repaired and cleaned main and jib sails
ordered new running rigging
March 2011- spring cleaning - powerwashed boat and waxed hull
replaced running rigging
re-installed sails and checked / taped standing rigging
boat was ready to go on July 4th
Lake had Green Algee / toxic and stayed in town
July / August record temps of 105+++ every day....

So the first of October we got to take her out for the first time. The mainsail is huge and the jib is on a furler, it was quite different from my normal racing mode, as you can see from the photo I only needed one glove and that was for the Modelo...Quite Happy.

Blog is at www.e33rh.blogspot.com

I let it slip last year as I was going thru job related changes.

Thanks for the kind replies.

That is sooooo Kewl..lol - I found out that one of your crew had my dads old boat....and she is gone now. so sad.

Anyway, I hope all is well with the Capri 25, we had a good time on her and she served us very well, got some silverware too. The boat is fast and I loved the sails on her..EP main is so fat.

Spring will be a good time for us on Grand - Looking forward to every second we can spend up on the lake.

I have some misc. stuff for Volare in my garage, email me offline

Hey Chris, Can't find your email. Tried to send a message via the forum mail but that's iffy. Send me an email at klassi1 at yahoo dot com.
