A truly professional organization. I spent 21 years in the Army and, though I do not regret my career choice for one minute, I highly recommend the Coast Guard to young people who ask my opinion regarding a military career. My second recommendation is the Air Force but only because they offer excellent technical training which can be applied to good paying careers in civilian life. The Army offers only a few of these and then only at the needs of the Army, which requires more "trigger pullers" than anthing else.

I can't confirm this because I only caught part of the article. That the Coast Guard had to go out and assist part of "The Deadlist Catch" fleet during last weeks Alaska mega storm.
