I sail a 1999 Catalina 250 WK and want to move to a faster mover. But I want to stay dry when I sail in early Spring and late Fall races. Do you get sprayed when sailing a Capri 25 in winds of 5 to 15 mph ?
My experience has been that the Capri is a pretty dry boat. I've sailed it up to 30 knots with just an occasional spray coming over the deck. But, I race on a small lake that never sees waves much above 2 feet. To me this boat has a relative low freeboard and I'm not sure if I would say the same if I was on a larger body of water in heavier seas.
