Ahoy mates! Happy holidays!

One of the hatch dog 'wing nuts' which hold Charm's fore hatch shut has come apart. The ceramic (?) 'wing' has come off the center 'nut.' What are your thoughts/suggestions for bonding these together?

TIA

All forward hatch hardware on Ode to Joy (hull #2428) is stainless. Time to upgrade?

Why not get some actual wingnuts? I dunno... just a thought.

Local hardware store should have nylon or stainless wing nuts.

One of my plastic "wings" broke last year, too. Dave suggestion about actual stainless wingnuts is just what I did: available, inexpensive, and they work.

I made a temporary repair for these by drilling and tapping overly large electric wire nuts and they've been in service for a few years waiting for a more permanent fix.

Catalina Direct sells the part you're talking about, too. You don't have to buy the entire hatch dog assembly as is indicated in their parts catalog.
