The transmission dipstick is the bolt on the TOP of the transmission housing. Many of us use turkey basters or big plastic syringes and suck the old fluid out. I did it just the other day with our syringe and a long plastic tube. I put the old stuff in a 10 oz clear plastic drinking glass and replaced it with the same amount. Don't drain it out the bottom - it's a crush washer, one time use thing, unless you can gain access it's easier from the top.

Once you remove the fuel filter, you'll have to bleed the engine. It's actually quite simple: http://c34.org/bbs/index.php/topic,6377.0.html

Our engines are essentially the same.

Do you have a primary filter in addition to your engine-mounted secondary filter?

You could also glean some info from our "Critical Upgrades" page, which includes a lot of engine information: http://c34.org/bbs/index.php/topic,5078.0.html

Good luck. I remember the first time I did mine. It gets easier...really.
