With te new panel and Chuck's help, the stereo has been wired in. Easy-peasy lemon-squeezy - just had to rejig the wiring.

Here's a photo of how I built the speaker enclosure - I had some scrap teak plywood that I was able to fashion into speaker enclosures.

Left Radio Speaker for Passage

I've done a better job of hiding the wires.

The right one sits at the other end of the starboard shelf.

Very cool and a nice shot of it. It is great that you can pull it should the technology change, or the speakers die. Sure beats putting holes in the bulkhead.

I ignored the flush mount speakers that came with my Dual radio and bought a pair of 4 1/2" surface mount speakers. Two screw holes each into the bulkhead.

Bruce,

Did you make the teak box for the stereo, or is that a production item? It looks great.

We currently have the head unit mounted over the sink next to the companionway, and one of my "someday" projects is moving it so that we can put some low profile (spice shelves?) storage there instead. Our current enclosure is too large to put it on the storage shelf like that.
