If I bring Iris through the Trent Canal in June, would anyone on here be interested in a 2-day stint as Crew between Trenton and Whitby? Likely there will be an overnight stop in Cobourg with dinner at the old Jail (http://www.cobourgjail.com/About.html)

Take a minute to register your boat with the association!!

Hey Prospector.... once you get the days set let me know. I only have hard commitment weekend of June 8th. Other than that I should be available.

I just did similar passage (just got back yesterday :-) ). Kingston to Brighton (on the outside - around prince edward county) then Brighton to Toronto. Both hops included over nighter.

You guys are keeners!!

I have given up on the plan since the National parks guys gave me a cold prickly when I called about recent federal budget cutbacks. I won't get into it here since it could go political, but I did writeup my thoughts on the blog http://littleboatiris.blogspot.ca/2012/05/nothin-goes-to-windward-like.html (Last time I started a political discussion here it turned ugly, so lets not go down that road).

damn... and I already had my hopes on another longer passage.

I still plan on going single handed to Kingston and then down back to Oakville over summer. But that's nothing set in stone at this point.

We should enter the LO300 - Scotch Bonnet course this summer. Between us I am sure we could outfit a boat for it and do it double handed.

Can't do LO300 this summer. I have a wedding to go to July 21 - messed up my plans for LO300.

I planned it last year and couple folks backed out and it went down the drain.

Let's keep in touch and we'll do it next year.

Hmmm, I was thinking about volunteering for this as well since my schedule is currently, um, open.

Now I'm going to go read your political blog and see what the fuss is.

Yanno Szymek, if we both have a year to find crew, it could be a lot like a match race between us next summer.

I think I should try to organize things to get in there this year so I have an extra year of practice on you.

That's a long race! How long do you expect it'll take you to finish? At hull speed, it's still nearly a 40 hour race, and I can't imagine you'd be doing hull speed the entire time.

The longest race I've ever done to date was about 12-15 hours.

Have you participated in the race before?

The minimum requirements are interesting. Would take some time to prepare.
