Our Seaward Princess stove broke down on us this weekend.

I had Lasagna, Shepherds Pie, Baked Chicken, and Chilly in Frozen Seal a Meal bags. How to cook them on the Grill!

And much more important! How to make perk Coffee on a Grill!

Two days without Java!

Was able to cook the food using aluminum foil, but could not get the coffee pot to perk!

Calling Seaward when they open this morning.

Redundancy. I keep a small butane camp stove as a spare just for times like that when I am on a extended cruise.

<font face="Comic Sans MS"><font size="2"><font color="navy">I threw the "curtain burner" out years ago and use a table top butane stove.

Now the space under the cutting board is stowage for pots and pans and the stove.
For coffee I use a Bialetti stove top espresso maker, the stainless steel one.

What the others said - look in the "cheap and worth it" thread where I posted hw to convert teh butane stove to an oven. You could likely get that method to work on the BBQ, but it goes much better on a direct burner.

For coffee we have swiched over to using a french press, and are very happy with the results.

Took the burners out and put cans of sterno. Bolts in holes in bottom. Works great no fires.

My wife has a percolater that we got when we were first married (40 Years ago) from my mom and we use it today-still works like a champ when we are hooked up to shore power.. Other than that we use the Non pressured alcohol stove and Starbucks Via.. Makes good coffee!
