Guys,

I know that I've seen discussions about installing transducers but I can't find any now that I have one to install.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I just installed a speed indicator thru the hull. I drilled the hole and used 3M 5200 sealant in black. I cleaned the surfaces with acetone and isopropyl alcohol. I also did a test set up with the plug with two old pieces of wood-I cannot break them apart. It did take several days to cure.

This will be a depth transducer for a Garmin. I like the wax ring idea a lot. It looks like the best place to locate it is on the center line of the hull at the aft end of the V berth.

The wax ring idea works very well. I placed ours close to centerline just behind the swing keel trunk, making it very east to wire up.
