I have a very slight leak in my head window (Beckson opening port). CatalinaDirect has a detailed description of these leaks on their website, and I will consider replacing the gasket. However, I've thoroughly cleaned my current gasket, and I believe the leak is coming from somewhere else.
I've removed all the screws hoping to remove and rebed the window, but it's really stuck on tightly with the bedding material. Before risking damaging something in removing it, I thought I'd get your thoughts on whether you've had similar problems, and how you solved them.
Also, I've noticed that some of my mounting screws do not grab when tightened - the underlying plastic in the outer flange is apparently stripped. Do any of you have suggestions for how to fill the volume so that the screws will engage properly? I could fill the holes with epoxy and re-drill, but doing that cleanly would require removing the window, and I'd like to avoid that for the reason described above.
