Just wanted to share this, it's worked out well. Just used some PVC and cut a notch for the seacock handle, and used epoxy to secure it.

It allows me to store items that I wouldn't have before.

Steve,

You have a relatively easy approach to making the VBerth area more usable for storage and not be concerned regarding seacocks, etc being disturbed. I also had considered what I could do to make the VBerth more usable for storage, etc. My approach is more costly and took I am sure more time compared to your approach but it is an option. I basically built a shelf/partition combo that is held together by SS machine screws & nuts and then velcroed to the wall. The partition/shelf is completely removable.

Actually, I see more individiuals would probably go your route since once the PVC adapter piece is made, a little bit of epoxy is then all that is needed. Anyway, here is photo of how I went about making the area more usable. More photos on my website.
