Yeah, with my 3 gallon tank and the new 4 stroke SailPro, I can circle my lake twice and still have about 3/4 gallon left in the tank. If however, I was in a marine environment and could go offshore, I too would carry as much gas as possible.

I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I'd just pour it in my Jeep tank every few months and freshen it up at the pump.

I used a plastic tempo style tank but after about 4 years, I noticed an reddish orange flock had developed in the bottom of the tank that ended up clogging the line. So it's back to the 6 gal. metal style for me.

Mar,

I had a similar red flock in my power cat which had aluminum tanks. The buyer told me that red stuff was from some reaction with alcohol and water in the fuel, or some similar thing. It got so bad that it clogged the fuel intakes on both of the new Honda 150s. So the red mat'l. may not have been due to the tank's synthetic construction.

To answer the initial question as to the largest possible tank, I saw a 20x14x14 inch, 12 gallon tank online, that would seem to be a tight fit if the fuel locker is tall enough.

Thanks Dr John; 12 gal is huge! I've gotten the 3 gal; I'll see how often I need to fill it.

I hope that is with a 2 stroke.

This tank fits on my 1989 C-25.

It's tight, you have to position it just right, but it fits.

The tank dimensions are 20.25 x 14.25 x 10.00.
The capacity is not indicated, but I think it's 8 gal.

The manufacturer's info molded into the plastic is:
Tempo Products Company
Cleveland, OH 44139
Part #9 Gas
