Drove south to Satellite Beach FL to crew for Tom Curran today. ENE winds 15 to 25, gusts to 30. 2 races today and 2 tomorrow. I some how got the jib sheets under the spinnaker downhaul and got us off dead last 1st race, crossed the line 5th of (12 maybe?) Not too bad! Got a better start 2nd race, off the line 3rd I think, got to 2nd then passed most of the way to the 1st mark by a 30', passed him back and came home 2nd! Awesome day!! Wish I didn't have to work tomorrow That little deal on the bill of Tom's cap is a mini high def video cam, I hope the footage turns out!

Dave, the video came out ok, pointing a little too down, a little jumpy, and no sound(?). The battery must have died, only got part of the first race (still had about 24g left on the card). Although I'm in pretty good shape to take the weekend regatta, my crew today is a couple of inexperience women...at least the winds have settled down to 15 knots.
Hi Tom, Forgot about the sound thing. Windows media player doesn't do this video format well. I forget the name of the player that works well but have the info at work, I'll post it later!
Congratulations to Island Time and crew for correcting out 1st overall after the four races! Wish I could have been there!
Back from a month in Japan now though, so you guys better be on your toes for the next race!! <grin> Heck, what am I saying, maybe Confetti better be the one to be on her toes with you guys doing so well!!
How about that Chuck! Although I was only there one day it was pretty spectacular! The really cool part is that Tom got the job done the second day with a girly crew!

And in my own defense, I posted this after the 1st day, Tom hadn't won the thing yet! <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"> Hey Dave, no defense needed!! (except for defending Island Time's great performance at next week's race!!) I based my info on the sail report Bill Sweeting mailed out. I also got a snapshot of Island Time sitting on her trailer with that Bodacious Bright Orange bottom paint "glowing"!!! I'll have to post it when I get the chance. Its so bright I suspect it scares the water away and give you guys another 1/2 knot! <grin>
