my main language is not english (french) so i'm not sure about the meaning of two switches on my panel:
-accessory (it has the instruments only) -running (seems to have the bow and stern lights) -deck (nothing connected) -bow (unknown wire connected to it) -anchor (anchor light) -cabin (lights and 12V outlet) -service (seems to be wired as a master)
i'm confused about the bow and running switches is the bow supposed to be the steaming light? (or the bow and stern lights?) i always thought running lights meant (when the engine is running light) ?!
We all wonder why they were labeled that way. Service is another word for power feed or source. Accessory is of course anything you want to add which is why the instruments are on that circuit. A lot of us add a second panel to handle all of the accessories the UPS man brings us.
thanks for the info, running makes sense for main lights, it's the "bow" i've never seen before, i knew "steaming light" but perhaps "bow light" is on older term for steaming light, it just confused me because i associated it with the red and green bow lights...
