After spending many years boating on Lake Lainer, I'm saddened but not surprised.

Years ago friends were moored on Lake George and were broadsided around 2 am - no one hurt but the wife refused to stay overnight on the boat again . . .

same thing on Lake Murray in SC, folks who do not know boating, dirve at night, way way way to fast and have no idea where they are---lost and making good time. tragedy formula.

Yepper... ya gotta anchor up in a cove to sleep at night, specially anywhere near the shoal creek area. The Sunset Cove development is a magnet for young drunks with speed boats.

More dangers out there than just the rocks!

Thanks to the help from you guys I now have some of the brightest nav light on the lake. Still looking at Disco Ball designs...

Thanks for pointing that out prospector.. I didn't see that one.
