Hi All - I need to replace a bent T-Toggle on an upper shroud. Any tips for making sure the mast doesn't come crashing down to port while the turnbuckle is off?

I was thinking the spin halyard tied off to the starboard forward lower.

As long as the lowers are attached - you would be fine . . . but I'd still run the halyard for just that extra sense of security/safety.
