I'm not aware that CD (Catalina Direct) ever offered the wing conversion kit. I think that was just Catalina Yachts, and somebody said they had stopped offering it.
Any idea what the cost of the wing keel is currently? I know they have always been expensive, butthe eliminated maintenance and concern for dropping the swinger with failure would be worth quite a bit to me. When I first got my boat I toyed with the idea of rigging a contraption to hold the boat and learn the procedure for conversion to change mine and possibly buy salvage boats and refurbish them as wing keel boats for sale as a retirement income generator. Right now we have so little water in our lake that mine is still sitting on the trailer where I unhooked when I brought it home. If the lake starts filling, maybe I will be re-energized to finish my make-ready
