We have a good quality cradle for our C-25 swing keel but are now going to store the boat at home. If you leave your boat in a boat yard on a trailer, we would offer you our cradle and buy your trailer? Located in the Northeast. Many Thanks, Martin 516-978-6161 or martingf@aol (dotcom)

Martin, Just curious, did you buy the c25 that was for sale in Fultonville? I was keeping my eye on that boat for parts because the price was so low and there were so many new things. If you did, you got an amazing deal. I think that guy had been trying for more than a year to sell it. I tried to swap interior cushions with the guy last summer but no deal.
If it's the boat I am thinking of I may be interested in the cradle, but I need my trailer. Can't do my swing keel work on the trailer, not enough clearance.

Hi Martin,
I also have a C25 (fin keel) on a cradle what I am looking for is an inexpensive (around 500.00 or 600.00) Craiglist flatbed trailer to put my cradle on top and have a trailer. Have you thought about this?
Cheers

Yes, I snatched up that boat. He's been very accomodating in letting me source a trailer though. Its still in his yard. I had a fin keel C-25 years ago and that lived in a boat yard when not in use on Long Island where space is a premium. Now living in upstate NY (Saratoga), we have land so I can work on and store the boat on our property.

Can you post a picture of what you are looking for? IF it will work for me and save me a "boatload", I'm in. We don't plan to trailer sail anyway. I'd have her rigged and dropped in each year.

Martin, welcome to upstate! I spent the first part of my life in NJ and moved here a while ago. As a kid I spent summer vacations in the Adirondacks and fell in love with the north country. I am so much happier here then n NJ. Sure i miss being able to pop into the city whenever i want, but now i can pop into the Adirondacks whenever i want. The previous owner of our boat kept it in Saratoga lake and said it was the perfect boat for that lake.
Anyway, i am planning on refurbishing my trailer this summer. If it helps, i would be willing to rent it to you to transport your boat to the lake or your house. I am sure you want to get the boat as soon as you can and it will be a few weeks before my trailer is road worthy, but i can let you know.
Does the seller have a way to move the boat from the cradle to a trailer? Do you have a way of moving it from the trailer back to the cradle at your place?
By the way I am just down the road from you in Latham.

Hi Martin,
It is something like this that I have in mind:
http://longisland.craigslist.org/grd/3095155846.html
You just take it to a weld shop and thy weld your cradle to it and you have a trailer
Hope this helps
Cheers
