I have two 1980 Capri 25s on excellent trailers that I will be putting up for sale soon but I really could use a used 155, suitable for beer cans and practice races if someone has one available: I=30 to 30.75, J=9 to 9.8. Clean and intact. Dacron is fine.
I was trying to get a fleet going here at AYC but was not too successful and will be moving to a J80 or Corsair Tri net year which is more popular here.
#23 is in very good shape. no leaks. I dry sail and race her today. She should be available in a few weeks at $7500 with new trailer and full set of practice / beer can sails, instruments, and Harken furler with jib and professionally recovered cushions.
I pulled #21 out of a slip in Kemah a couple of years ago and she ended up having light blisters, a soft bottom and interior bulkhead wood rot. She is completely stripped naked and gutted for subfloor and bulkhead replacement (Penske Board), the newly faired bottom is complete, and I will have it completely repainted by a local professional in his shop. With luck, she will be on the market in a couple of months. When I saw saggy bottom I was going to part her out to recover losses and chainsaw her into a dumpster but could not bring myself to it. The Capri 25 is still the most affordable fast and comfortable boat on the market today and I'm hoping I can recover my original investment by offering her completely overhauled.
