So much for that plan! Tropical storm Eugene is headed up to the tropics south of Florida, and this weekend we are awaiting the arrival of yet another tropical depression that should soak us over the next few days.
Heck, I would rather have this wet weather than the tinder dry conditions many have suffered this past spring/summer.
So our trip is put off till Labor Day weekend in September.
Fortunately, my company owner is flexible in regards to my choice of long weekends.
So we have lot's of chips, wine, beer, food available at home. Time for a - B Q !!!
With the dehumidifier running inside the boat, we can leave the stuff already loaded (linens, portapotti, etc.) and we can do a bit more waxing and clean up.
Don't like to miss the weekend sailing opportunity, but 5 days on board in low winds under lots of clouds and tropical rainfall is not exactly pleasant. Bigger boat, OK, but cramped up in our cabin we would go stir crazy.
Maybe I can get more features added to the new Membership system.
