Had the opportunity to spend a couple of nights on the hook this past weekend in hopes of catching a glimpse of the Perseid meteor shower. As expected a front was passing through and conditions were completely overcast...but around mid-night Sunday, wind picked up so I moved to the cockpit to ensure myself we were holding. The clouds began to move and within the hour the sky was clear, winds subsided, and the show began. Spectacular!!
We had good weather on Sunday night/Monday morning here in CT. We saw a few shooting stars around 2-3AM, but I'd imagine it was way better on Saturday night. Clouds were wall to wall on Saturday.
