Is the a practical way to make a roller furler.I have a C-25 swing keel. I've seen some on YouTube, but not sure they really work. This topic has probably been discussed before, but I'm new to the forum.
i'm not sure where you sail but reading your post i remembered a couple of times where i had to roll in the genoa in high winds or where a friend accidentally let go of the sheet in high wind with the genoa flapping violently and the whole rig shaking and straining ...the last place i'd want a DIY item is the furler :-S really!
Alternative plan - Call Bacon & Associates in Annapolis, MD, and Minnie's Yacht Surplus in Costa Mesa, CA, and ask if they have any good, cheap second-hand furlers for you.
