Does anyone knows the RAL color number of the interior gelcoat for '78 ? It's not really white, but something like ivory/cream - RAL9001? I want to patch some holes but I'm able to get only white gelcoat here so I have to mix it somehow and never worked with gelcoat before. Also what is the best practice to apply the gelcoat if I don't have spray gun? I have polishing compounds and buffer for final look. Thanks

The patches disappeared. (Luckily, this was on a white hull.)
Thomas, Check out Minicraft of Florida. They have all of the formulas for any boat pre-mixed. Either they or Catalina should be able to give you the color name/code from the hull #. I think it's by the qt for $135.
Received reply from Kent Nelson from Catalina Yachts:
Tomas, I do not have any RAL color codes for our gel coats unfortunately. People have been able to use a base white and add some black to it to get close to the original color. Another option might be to have a quart shipped from www.spectrumcolor.com , but I understand the added costs and complications of having it shipped overseas. I have included their description and part number below for your reference just in case.
