Great weekend:
Friday: Motored across the Bay, only because we were beat!
Friday night: Someone nearby had to call the coast guard when his brother fell on their boat and broke his ankle. Ouch!
Saturday:Loafed all day, just enjoying the view, food onboard, relaxed, but took time to fix the 12v extension cord so that I could inflate the dink.
Fixed it, went to inflate the dink and found that all of the plastic rub strips on the dink had come unglued! Carp! Put the dink back in the bag.
Girl dived into water from a multi story rafted boat, hit her head on something and out came the Coast Guard, moved her to Elliott key harbor, then helo into Miami somewhere. Hope she is ok.

Sunday: Sailing! early start for us, great sail! Got the Asym up and flying. Several hours of some really nice sailing around the Bay.

Sunday night/Monday Morning: Woke urgently at 1:30am to screams of `Move your Boat` - `Move your Boat`. Some AH had throttled up his 25foot power boat and fell overboard in some kind of stuper. The boat started to drive at high speed around in circles slowing moving south towards where we were anchored along with about another hundred boats.
So it was up anchor and move out of the way into a holding pattern for a couple of hours till either it ran out of fuel or they tossed something to catch the props.

Monday: More great sailing, back to the anchorage for lunch. That's when we saw a 24foot powerboat sinking! There were dozens of boats around it, not one paid any attention. One of the guys on board was bailing with a huge bucket, but seeing the amount of water he was in deep trouble. I called TowBoat US, they and the Coast Guard responded. I provided lat-n-long and guided the TowBoat to the sinking boat over the radio. He took all '14' people on board and put a pump to stop the boat sinking. Not sure of the problem, but he pumped a fire hose for at least 5 minutes. Eventually he towed the boat back to Miami.
Just to make sure all was ok, the Coast Guard sent their helo out to give us all a show.
After lunch, more great sailing.

We anchored Monday evening, but by sunset all the boats had gone home, us and a couple of sailboats in the distance were all that was left from a great weekend.

Tuesday, 5am we were up and heading back to the Ramp.

End of summer for most, but one of the best periods in SoFla. This trip was also full of excitement.
During the weekend, we had great sails each day. Flew the Asym, practiced correct going about procedures, called the Coast Guard and TowBoat US about a boat sinking nearby, lots of action as well as lots of sailing.</center>

Joint Decision. (Sold)

That looks exactly like the SPOT (pun intended) my phone was on just before Neptune got it.

Thanks for the photos, Paul. I've enjoyed travelling vicariously this season while my boat sits on the hard.
