Why is it that so many read messages but responses are so few. Seems rather selfish. I'm very certain that most of you "readers" have something valuable to contribute. Why is it always the same members providing help. Without input from other owners this site would not exsist. Thank God for the few who take the time to type! Sorry for venting (a wee bit). Guess it is winter blues (with a little push for more interaction)!
<b>"Why is it that so many read messages but responses are so few?"</b>
Well, it's probably due to a variety of reasons. A question might be posted that is answered on the first response. Other's might have the same question as the one posted, so they don't respond with an answer or they simply don't have an answer, or if they know the answer, they might have trouble putting it into words. I, like probably most people here, lurked for quite a bit before becoming an active participant. Only when I had a specific question did I make myself known. Additionally, since I was new to the organization, I felt as if I didn't have much to contribute(actually I still don't have much to contribute) and it seemed that experts abounded on every subject and I was concerned that I may say something that wasn't technically correct(which I do from time to time...to time...to time) so I left it to them. I read all C250 topics, but I don't respond to C250 specific questions because I simply don't know the answers, but I will jump in when the question is more general.
I've always advocated that people should feel free to join in on any and all discussions, because the more diverse the responses, the more we all learn, but we must realize that not everyone has the answers and some just like to observe.
I say all this as someone who obviously has way too much free time and blathers on and on, ad nauseum, on subjects that I have no business talking about, but...hey...that's what I do!

Don...you forgot to mention your role as the official C-250 agitator.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> Remember when you so kindly let all of us 250 owners in on the bashing our beloved boats were taking on the 25 forum? You were even nice enough to post the link here for us. That was a good time. I can't speak for my fellow "floating Clorox bottle" owners, but I certainly hope you continue your charter to keep our discussions lively.
Don I must also add that I have become dissapointed when you do not have a picture to post with your posts.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Oh, you uhhhh...ahem,...you uhhhh...you still remember that one, huh? <img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle>

You are correct. There does seem to be a large group of lurkers here (myself included) but I don't think it is any better or worst than any other forum. I will say that the people who do respond here have been extremely helpful and understanding. It is up to us Lurkers to pick up the batton and do the same.
