Lake Erie has had pretty serious algae blooms over the last couple of years. Not as bad this year due to the drought and less farmland fertilizer runoff.

Our local Sea Scout troop came up with [url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5D1MbBFIBeU&feature=g-upl"]this[/url]. Pretty clever.

Our lake just got a bloom on in the last few days. People have been advised not to come into contact with it or breathe in spray. This has pretty much ended water skiing on the lake.
