The new Photo Gallery has now been online for over two months, so we are starting to get realistic data from the system.
I was surprised to see that the "C25 A-F The Original C25 A-F Gallery Pictures" is the most viewed Gallery.
The pics are kinda old, but well worth keeping, not sure how many of those boats shown are still owned by members here. Now that most of us carry digital cameras or phones with cameras, the quality of images posted are much better.
Nobody has posted any pics of their haul out yet, I guess everyone that intends to haul out is still squeezing those last few hours of sailing for this season. (Of course, we don't have that issue down here )
If you have pics, post them! It enhances our search engine placement (which is already really good) and each says a thousand words.
Yep, I was supposed to haul out yesterday... but winds were 8-14 gusting to 24... sorry I was sailing! Here's a quick vid of my broad reach, if you up the resolution to 720p, you can watch my analog knotmeter (which reads about .2-.4 knots slow-verified with GPS) steady at 5-5.2 knots. I peaked with reef and 130 at 7 knots yesterday. Could not haul out for that!
As boats are hauled out, I'm hoping that members will dig into their digital image treasure chest and post some great albums. The 'Projects' gallery need input, and so many of us search the forum and the gallery for advice, it will be a great resource. So far only Dave and I have posted project albums. Here's an example:
Rudder to Engine Hardlink I did this mod over 5 years ago, had to replace one of the arms when it broke due to excessive force at the wheel.

When posting pictures, spend a few extra seconds giving each an appropriate title and description. Both of those areas are searched when visitor use the search feature.
