About to pass 200,000 image views

Thanks to those Association Members that have posted Photo Gallery Albums, we are about to pass 200,000 image views!

True, many of those views are by the major search engines, because they regularly scan the Photo Gallery for new content.

The new [url="https://www.catalina-capri-25s.net/cgi-local/MBR_gallery.cgi"]Photo Gallery - New[/url] was only launched in August this year, but to approach 200,000 image views in just that short time is pretty impressive.

This segment of the association website is valuable as it will retain images for years to come. When a member posts an image and includes it in a Photo Album, it is viewed by many members but also many guests or Forum members.

I would like to make a personal thank you to those that have used the system. The work put into developing the site is vindicated when it's used effectively. Thank you!

For whatever reason I still have not been able to resolve my premium login issue.

I've been doing my part to fill this up!

I can't wait until I get settled in my new place, I'm looking forward to doing a picture documentary on my work over the winter season. Lots to do!

Quick note about the Album feature...

when an album loads, it first loads all of the images in that album. Russ has created an album with 45 images, it takes a few moments to load. So it's best to limit the albums to around 50 images. If you have a bunch more images, then create additional albums, eg. Voyages of the Starship Enterprise Vol 1, Vol 2 etc.

Keeping an eye on the images that have been recently uploaded, I'm anticipating some great stories. Oh! Don't be afraid of putting plenty of copy into the picture descriptions, it can handle 1,000 characters. I was going to make it 1,028 but that number would be obscure to many

And... we blew by the 200,000 image views
