Since selling the C-25, I've been crewing this year with fellow C-22 fleet member and good friend, Don Berridge, on a boat named PLAN-B. Last weekend we finished the 2012 C-22 Region 3 GRITS Series (Great Racing In The South), a series of regattas covering 5 different sailing clubs at lakes in TN, AL, and GA, with 2 throw-outs allowed. I participated in the last 3 of them with Don, racing in Silver Fleet. Don sailed in all but the first one, finishing 0-2-1-1-1, winning first place in Silver Fleet. I plan to race with him in the Nationals next year in Florida. The largest of the regattas I attended was the Gone With The Wind Regatta at Lake Lanier Sailing Club, where there were 20 C-22's in gold fleet and 10 in Silver. In contrast, we had only 13 total for the last regatta here in Nashville at PPYC, the Music City Catalina Cup, but this is only the 3rd year we have held that regatta. Hopefully, we'll have more next year.
