These are two storage drawers I have added. They were made from a galley cabinet I purchased. One is for spare boat parts and the other is for emergency items. Now all the galley drawers are for galley items.

I think you have a winner there, I'll have to keep my eye out for drawers and they could be installed in either the dinette or traditional interiors. Good job. Like.
Great idea - Something for all of us to think about especially because many of us use the existing drawers for non-galley related supplies. Plus, you can never have too much storage areas at least considering what comes as standard.
Access to bilge is not affected. The frame behind the trim is the same as in the galley drawers. I used parts from a galley cabinet and resized them to fit the area.
I have 2 drop-down doors 19" x 7" that I used to install access to the locker under the port couch. I don't have the frames (I installed them too well!) but CD sells them. They come complete with hinges. $25 + freight.
