Dear Members -

Now that the gift-giving season has just passed, I'm thinking about putting together an article for the Summer issue of Mainsheet that features useful add-on's that the readers have installed (anything that was not originally available on your sailboat when new). Assuming a race boat, then.......in order of importance.......
Harken 40 winches. Move the original 16's to the cabin top for the halyards. Ditch the 8`s
Harken 57 rachematic blocks on the outside tracks for the spinnaker sheets.
Decent jib leads. Either Schaefer or Ronstan.
Seed puck mounted on the mast.

I'd Like to piggy back the plan Brian has... An article on HOW you installed any of these (pictures appreciated) would be great. A great example would be a step by step how to tear off and install the winches.

Let's keep the focus on the result of course, but pictures of tear down and install would be great.

I've got tons of projects I have to get started on myself, but I'd rather not make it about me, and my projects. Especially since my projects aren't "neat," they are laborious (sanding, painting, sanding)...

I'd also like to hear from ANYONE working on projects on their Capri 25 for a technical article to submit to the mainsheet. Come on people we seem to be "under represented" by Catalina. I know the Capri 25 was a short production run and all, but I have a strong passion for MY boat, and I know you folks do too! Let's hear those projects!
