For my Catalina 22 North sails published a tuning guide with definite recommendations for tension settings for the standing rigging using a Loos Gague. I can't find any information from them for a 25TR. I also haven't found any information on settings on our website yet. Catalina Direct is sending me the additional Loos Gague which I need, but all Lindsey could find on settings is the article on our website, without settings. I don't understand how the two boats could be so different in that I have seen some folks recommending that, for example the aft lowers should be loose. On the 22, all the rigging was tight, to a definite setting.
I plan to be a cruiser, maybe race someday in a casual fashion.
I have ordered the Catalina Direct adjustable backstay as it worked great on my 22 for controlling weatherhelm.
I hate to bring up a topic which has been discussed before, but I wasn't here for the discussion. I don't wanna lose my rig.
