Brought the boat home for pre-launch prep work. We should have got a place with a slightly bigger driveway.

Naww... Put it in the yard..

I'm jealous.. I never get to work on the boat without an hour drive. I make all the plans about repair, and pack everything, and stop by the chandlery and buy some screws.. get to the boat and ...

Go Sailing...

Oh and you should also feel blessed... at the Beach they changed the ordinance so that you can't park the boat in the driveway. Ya gotta put it in the back yard.

ANyhoo.. Iris looks happy there!

What do you think the guy in the house next door is looking into. Probably on the phone as you were backing in....

Well Scott, in most neighbourhoods, you're right. But that neighbour actually flagged me into the driveway. He has a Viking 28 in his back yard. When we looked at the house it was parked there, definately a selling feature for us.

I race him most Wednesdays, but rarely beat him.

Cooll.... talk about having a neighbor that can lend a hand.. on the boat no less.

Your neighborhood covenants will include adding wider driveways!

Be knowledgeable of local regs. A few years back our township said no more boats or trailers past the front edge of the house.

Yeah - that stinks for you OJ. So far so good for me. A few folks walking by have commented, but its all been positive so far. "Nice Boat" and "Where you going" are about the harshest comments we've heard so far.

Yea Chris, I was just funnin ya. I kept a few boats on trailers in my own driveway over the years but I do know about some towns having ordinances now. One around here says that the trailer tongue has to be X amount of feet from the sidewalk or curb line. Another says it has to be in the back yard or side yard not extending past the front of the house and if its in the side yard it has to be behind a fence and not visible from the street. Me, I think A little nautical decor looks better than a 30ft motor home any day.
