Any special things to look out for (besides the shore)on my C250 2002? I am going to sea trial this week and looking forward to learning a lot.

Be careful around the docks. If you put a mark on your new baby that's where it is most likely to happen.

The first thing that grabbed my attention on the c250 was its windage... if not experienced a boat with much of it prior....get ready. Have fun and be safe.

I certainly agree with being carefull around docks, especially if there is a tide running. Wind around landing areas is also a problem. With its high freeboard, its a bit of a sail. Most important, have food and water on board so that if you get on that perfect tack, you don't have to go home.

The 3 things I found took some getting used to are:

1. If you have close quarters at the Marina/dock like I do, remember that the outboard won't turn to port very far (boat to starboard). See Arlyns previous comment because both of these together can be a little nerve wracking the first few times.

2. Practice reefing, before the winds come up.

3. be sure to close the lid and open the slide on the porta potty to remove any pressure buildup before you do your business <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
