There are three new features being developed for the Members Area. 1: A sort feature for the Album images. Currently, when a new image is added to an album it would become the last image in that Album
The new feature allows for moving(sorting) the images to another position within the Album
The sort feature has been tested successfully as follows:
Firefox: Checked, OK IE8,9,10: Checked, OK Safari: Checked, OK Chrome: Checked, OK Android Tablet: Sort does not work. Windows Tablet: Sort does not work. (working to see if there is a workaround for tablets, if not, I'll develop one )
2: How To Videos. I have received several requests for detailed explanation of 'How to' use the Members Area features. Over the next few weeks, several slideshow type videos will be released that explain how to use the various features. They are currently Flash based, but can be prepared in other formats, I will publish them in the most popular (your requests).
Test results: If your device can show a Flash movie, then it works, that includes Android Tablets (at least those tested so far)
3: Informative documents. We will be adding to the Members Area Menu several links to documents (PDF's) on a variety of subjects ranging from Association Reports to Informative Educational material from various sources such as Boat U.S., NOAA, and elsewhere.
These documents require a PDF reader. So far these have been tested in IE9, Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Android tablets work, however you may have to open your download folder and read them using an App such as Kingsoft Office (one of my favs).
The Info docs will come on line as they are reviewed. Stay tuned.
Thanks again to the guys that participated in the Beta Test, John, Scott, Alex.
The Sort Feature is being turned on for everyone as soon as I have typed up a How To use it note.
I had no trouble viewing pictures using Firefox. Please make "hide" the default setting for the gray text box. That thing blocks viewing the pics and is really annoying.

Compromise... how about if when you hide it, it stays hidden until you 'show' it!
I have modified the behavior of the 'Hide Text' button. When the Album displays: If you click on the Hide Text Button, the text panel on all slides is hidden.
You can turn the Text Panels back on by clicking the Show Text button.
So the Compromise is now active (Album Version 4) enjoy.
Done, and done.. Your work does NOT go unappreciated. That sort was (stupidly) a big deal to me. It was like you heard me grumble... Sure I unloaded and reloaded pictures to fix it, but this is TONS easier.
