We have succumbed to the lure of a bigger boat therefore we are selling our beloved "retirement" boat. We are only the third owners and we have sailed her for 10 years. MANY Upgrades as we did not intend to sell her but the Catalina 310 came along..
She is powered by a 2 year old 9.9 Yamaha electric start-long shaft-still under warranty. She is a Pop-top with Modified cover that has Screens and Windows.. Lots of canvas including all covers,Bimini and coach roof cover. All Manuals with Many redundant parts including extra tiller. Led anchor light, upgraded Interior lights, Weems & Plath cabin lamp,True Lewmar self tailing winches, balanced rudder,Harken Roller Furler,Non-pressure alcohol stove with wood cover,Custom Wine and Book Rack,Shore power, marinehead,VHF,JVC AM/FM stereo with speakers. We just had the cushions refoamed and wrapped in Batting. Our sails, loose foot Main and 150 % Genoa, were just gone over by Doyle sailmakers. Life lines and swim ladder. Trailer is road worthy with electric brakes. This is TRULY a TURN-KEY boat and a dry boat. Also includes mast raising system and motor stand. Boat has always been freshwater boat.

"Leprechaun" might have the distinction of being one of the last C-25 swing keels built at the Woodland Hills factory. The switch from the Mk. III to the MK. IV hull design happened only 180 hulls after Leprechaun was built. The Owners list, while not complete, shows no swing keels between 5612 and 5801 (believed to be the first Mk. IV). Some of those boats that are listed as "wing keels" could be swing-to-wing conversions, but likely not more than two or three.

Congratulations on your new C-310! From the first time I saw one up close, I have thought the Catalina 30 was a beautiful sailboat, with a well-thought-out design. I especially like the placement of the engine under the false galley cabinet. This location makes it easy to access every part of the engine, and the propeller shaft packing gland, for repairs or maintenance. Compare this to the C-25 inboard diesel, which is a nightmare to work on. Does the new C-310 still use this engine placement?

Larry, Thank You for the information, That is interesting!
We are sad to be selling "Leprechaun", she is a cream/beige colored hull with white deck which is unusal and desireable.! Someone is going to end up with an awesome boat! We cannot be a two boat owner though! The 310's engine is located under the steps down to the salon and the cover in leanable (?) forward so access is very easy. My wife actually is the driver in the change, She looked at the Queen size forward berth with mattress....That WAS THE END of that! the 310 was only made for a few years and we ended up with hull #155. She is not in the water yet that is to happen in a week when the mast is stepped. We hate to leave the 25 BUT look forward to the next chapter in our life!
I hope to have time to upload photos soon but if anyone is interested I can email the photos or send a CD!

Congrats on the new boat, Alan, and best wishes for a speedy sale on the C25. I'm scheduled to launch the new boat on Friday, so I hope to see you soon with your new 310 on Erie. :)

Dave,
Thanks, I am always interested in people who are Buyers..I had a call yesterday from a guy who wanted to literally steal the boat!
I explained that Good boats are always worth what you pay for them especiallya Catalina 25 BECAUSE of the support from the association. Our boat is a great boat with lots of extras going with it, pop top cover that has been customized, sails just gone over, Harken roller furling, lots of canvas,2 year old Yamaha 4 stroke still under warranty. Guy owned an S2 6 series. He wanted ours for less than 10.

Leprechaun was a great boat not only for sailing but for family and adventures! We owned her for 10 years and she has now moved onto a different owner and will be sailed in Indiana-Lake Wawasee. I made the new owner aware of our association and the great benefits, hopefully he will take advantage of our great group! Sincerely,
